Vern used white foam, a carbon spar and 1/32nd balsa sheet covered in tissue for his version. He feels it came out a little heavy at 13oz, but the initial test flights shown a long glide (all be it in ground effect).

Great design nicely executed, I am developing a single place rigid wing tailless speed fly glider based on Prandtl and Horten concepts and was delighted to come across this site in my research
